From 2015 to 2021, the volume of active consortium members increased from 69,5 thousand to 116,9 thousand, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Consortium Administrators (ABAC). In 2021, the Massey Ferguson National Consortium turns 40, the same year in which the brand celebrates 60 years of operation in Brazil. Since 1981, Massey Ferguson, the largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery in Latin America and a reference in the Brazilian agricultural market, has offered payment options to its customers. The brand was a pioneer in the initiative, being the first consortium administrator in the country with the product aimed exclusively at the agricultural machinery market. Since its creation, 66 thousand machines have been delivered.
The entire brand line – tractors, harvesters, sprayers, planters, platforms, implements – can be purchased through the consortium. In 2020, Massey Ferguson delivered 2.800 machines in the modality. For 2021, the growth projection is 5% to 7%, compared to 2020. “The good performance was possible due to the versatility and flexible plans of this type of purchase that the company offers. We aim to sell 3.300 quotas and include up to 2.800 machines in 2021”, says Flávio Vincensi, national sales manager at the Massey Ferguson National Consortium.
“The consortium is an excellent investment alternative for producers looking to renew machinery and is also an ally in financial planning”, explains Vincensi. According to him, the modality has the distinction of offering affordable values, without charging interest or down payment. The farmer only pays the monthly fee, a low administration fee and 1% Reserve Fund, making this model attractive for farmers of all sizes. The modality has a wide option of plans and terms, reaching up to 120 months.
Aimed at farmers, ranchers and service providers looking to acquire machines, expand or replace their fleet, the Massey Ferguson National Consortium is created in partnership with the brand's factory and dealerships, allowing the producer to acquire their easy, safe and economical way, programming the best payment method. “Rural entrepreneurs can be selected through a draw or by bidding monthly. At Massey Ferguson, there are groups of 999 people, made up of farmers, ranchers and service providers from all over Brazil, who come together and contribute one or more quotas”, explains Vincensi.
