In 2021, Massey Ferguson, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery in Latin America and a reference in the Brazilian agricultural market, celebrates 60 years in Brazil. In commemoration of the date, the brand presents two launches: the MF 8225 sprayer, designed to efficiently face the challenges of the field, and the MF 4400 Platform tractor, ideal for small properties and family farming.
The brand, synonymous with trust, uncomplicated and high-quality technology that delivers value to the farmer, has undergone an extensive portfolio renewal in recent years. “We range from low-power products with simpler technology to products with very high technology added to meet the needs of our farmers. We continue to see several other opportunities for equipment and machines with very competitive costs”, highlights Luis Felli, Senior Vice President AGCO Corporation & Head Global Massey Ferguson. “Massey Ferguson still has a lot to grow and deliver to its customers, with solutions of recognized quality, reliability and technology around the world.”
The MF 4400 Platform tractor was developed to serve small producers, which represent 77% of rural properties in Brazil, according to the Agricultural Census of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). Available in powers of 80 hp, 89 hp, 99 hp and 105 hp, the tractors are equipped with the AGCO Power 3-cylinder Common Rail Turbo-intercooled engine, which works at lower speeds and with electronic injection, saving up to 10% of fuel. . The engine has an intelligent system with real-time monitoring sensors that prevents failures, as it detects any problem that may occur, increasing its durability and ensuring a longer useful life “The MF 4400 Plataformado is perfect for producers who want simplicity, efficiency and versatility ”, highlights Eder Pinheiro, Tractor Product Marketing Coordinator at AGCO, the company that owns the brand.
The MF 8225 sprayer technology combines low fuel consumption with high traction capacity, in addition to operational comfort, to contribute to daily productivity, whether on small, medium or large rural properties. With a 174 hp four-cylinder AGCO Power engine, designed specifically for agricultural use, the equipment provides fuel savings of up to 60% compared to other models on the market and has a fuel autonomy of up to 237%, helping to increase productivity. “Our objective was to think of a robust, reliable product that is available to work at the right time for each application, meeting all current needs in crop management, reducing environmental impacts, generating savings and optimizing rural work”, highlights Carlo Stella , Strategic Product Marketing supervisor Massey Ferguson AS Application Equipment.
The brand also has a range of technological solutions for agriculture. Among them, the Momentum Sementes planter, with 24, 30 and 40 lines, and Momentum Sementes and Fertilizers, with 24 and 30 lines, that is; When passing, the machine deposits both products at the same time, seed and fertilizer, providing the opportunity for productivity gains above 15%. The model received the Machine Of The Year 2020/2021 award, the most important in the machinery segment in Brazil, in the Seeder category.
Another highlight is the Massey Ferguson Guide autopilot, by Trimble, a factory-installed solution on tractors in the MF 7700 and MF 6700R lines, which simplifies agricultural operations using an intuitive and innovative environment. With the levels of precision that the solution is capable of delivering to the farmer throughout the production cycle, the technology offers a return of more than 800% on the investment made in contracting the satellite signal correction service.
The brand also offers the Farm Solutions tool, a package with technological solutions for precision agriculture developed by specialized companies and partners, which can be embedded in Massey Ferguson equipment. The use of solutions helps to save fuel, agronomic efficiency of agricultural pesticides, increase crop productivity and total reduction in overlap.
In addition to the launches, other actions will be developed during the year to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Brazilian brand. The objective is to reinforce Massey Ferguson's strong connection with Brazilian rural producers and the brand's contributions to national agribusiness with a focus on its history and the coming years.
