Manfredo Rübens has announced his retirement after almost 34 years of work at BASF. During the last six years, he led the multinational's operations in the South American region. His departure marks the end of a significant career within the company, with stints in several countries and remarkable experiences in the chemical sector.
In a statement, Rübens highlighted the importance of his career and the people who have accompanied him over the years. He joined BASF in 1991 in Germany and throughout his career held positions in the United States and, later, in Brazil. His international experience was essential for the development of new strategies and strengthening the company's operations in South America.
The executive stated that remembering all the moments and achievements at BASF would be a long task. He made a point of thanking all the employees, partners and customers who were part of his journey. According to Rübens, these professionals were essential to overcoming challenges, achieving results and completing projects.
She also reinforced BASF’s commitment to sustainability, stating that it is committed to “creating chemistry for a sustainable future.” She highlighted that new leaders will take over the company’s leadership, and expressed her hope that the company will continue to grow and achieve even greater success in the future.
