Mahindra closes this 26th edition of Agrishow, one of the three main agricultural technology fairs in the world and the largest and most important in Latin America, with results above expectations. Compared to the previous year, there was a more than 100% increase in sales of tractors, agricultural implements and consortium quotas. “This was the best Agrishow in the history of Mahindra in Brazil”, celebrates the General Director of Operations in Brazil, Jak Torretta Jr., (Mahindra took over the operation in Brazil in October 2016).

The sales figures recorded had the active participation of eight dealers who were present during the five days of the fair. The development of a strong network is one of the strategic pillars for the brand's growth in Brazil. The Goiás region, for example, from July onwards, will have a new Mahindra point of sale. The concession contract with the company Vetrasa- Goiânia was signed during Agrishow.

Another point to highlight is the increase in the circulation of people who visited the stand, demonstrating interest and curiosity in the brand. The launch of the year, the 2025 model, with 25 hp, suitable for fruit, grape and tobacco producers, was one of the most sought after models. A smaller tractor that maintains the main characteristics of the Mahindra DNA, such as robustness, above-average rates in terms of fuel economy and a five-year warranty. “Brazilian producers use tractors intensively, for any activity on their property, with an average of 1 to 1,3 hours per year. A reality very similar to that in India, and very different from the USA and Europe which, for example, use an average of 200 to 300 hours per year. And that is why we trust our tractors and are working to transmit this reliability to Brazilian producers”, concludes Torretta.

Financing/rural credit

Aware of the low financial resources, Mahindra anticipated and sought new alternatives so as not to depend exclusively on government credit lines. Meetings were held with partner banks during the fair. Especially with DLL, Bradesco and Banco do Brasil. As a result of the discussions, the construction of structured financing operations. A proprietary product, built between Mahindra and its banking partners.
