Mahindra begins selling its new line of tractors at Expointer 2017 S series. At the brand's stand, rural producers will be able to check out the company's solutions to increase productivity and reduce operational costs. Considered the largest open-air agribusiness fair in Latin America, the event will take place from August 26th to September 3rd at the Assis Brasil Exhibition Park, in Esteio, Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre (RS). “Expointer is the great showcase for Mahindra in the largest market in the family farming segment”, observes the Director of Operations at Mahindra Brazil, Jak Torretta.
Among Mahindra's new products at Expointer are the S Series models: the 8000 S (80 hp engine) and 9500 S (95 hp engine) tractors. Both feature improvements introduced by Mahindra do Brasil engineering, such as a new design and integral operating platform, which offers greater ergonomics and operational comfort. “The launch and start of commercialization of the new S Series at Expointer is a milestone in the history of Mahindra in Brazil, as it is the first project developed by our local engineering, where we introduced a series of improvements requested by the Brazilian farmer”, observes Jak Torretta .
Another difference in relation to the 8000 series is the design of the tractor and optical assembly with LED front and rear lights, which is more efficient and makes it easier for farmers to work at the end of the day or in low-light environments, with greater safety.
According to Mahindra Product Marketing specialist, Gilberto Dutra, maintenance of the tractor line is simple and quick, as routine inspections are carried out with the operator at ground level and the easy-to-open hood allows access to main maintenance items. “All these changes bring agility to the producer, less time with the machine stopped, greater use of the tractor and greater productivity.”
The new S Series tractors feature the design of the new 6000 generation tractors being sold in the United States, with bold Brazilian lines on the rear fenders and platform. Accessibility to the main controls and levers of the hydraulic system is another very strong point.
In line with the most advanced technological trends for agribusiness, the 8000 S and 9500 S tractors are equipped with Mahindra NE–476/TC Turbo and NE-495/TC Turbo engines, respectively, both resistant, reliable and with excellent torque. “The technology of these engines guarantees a longer useful life, less maintenance and low fuel consumption”, observes Dutra. The models are also equipped with oil bath disc brakes, have a lifting capacity of up to 3000 kg and synchronized mechanical transmission with reverser. All combined with the traditional reliability of Mahindra products.
