This year, the volume of Brazilian rice authorized to enter Mexico with zero tariffs increased from 30 thousand to 75 thousand tons
Today, March 29th, Scarpa, one of the first companies to win the Mahindra concession in southern Brazil, with a store in the municipality of Turvo/SC, officially opens another venture, this time in Três Cachoeiras/RS. Complying with health guidelines and social distancing measures to avoid the transmission of Covid-19, celebrations to mark the new business were scheduled for next year, joining the anniversary celebrations of the store and the municipality. Raphael Scarsanella, co-owner of Scarpa, remembers the times when very few producers knew about Mahindra. “I am one of the first authorized dealers in Brazil. I have always believed in the strength of the brand. The tractor is robust, economical and the producer who decides on Mahindra already understands why it is the best-selling tractor brand in the world”, he explains. For the second semester, Raphael is already anticipating the opening of the branch in SC, in the city of Braço Norte. “I am proof that Mahindra brings growth”, he concludes.
Also noteworthy is the dealership Mahindra Agronômica, which recently announced the opening of its fifth store, the first in the state of RS, in the municipality of Frederico Westphalen. Thus, it assumes the position of the largest Mahindra dealership, with the largest number of sales and technical assistance points, covering some regions in the states of PR, SC and RS. The headquarters is located in Marmeleiro/PR. In just 33 months of holding the brand concession, Agronômica has already delivered more than 200 tractors, increasingly increasing proximity to farmers in the region where it operates. “The producer wants a tractor that won't let him down, he also seeks service from a trained and qualified team, and that's what the Mahindra Agronômica dealership has”, commented Agronômica's commercial director, Ademilson Corbari.
Positive business results increase the brand's visibility, strengthen relationships with rural producers and generate growth for Mahindra throughout Brazil, especially at this time, in the southern region.
With 75 years of history, the Indian multinational Mahindra has a 41% market share in India. In 2020, it produced more than 310.000 tractors, a growth of 5,3% compared to 2019. In the United States, Mahindra maintains third place in sales and in Brazil, growth was 39%. In sales to the end customer, Mahindra grew 77%.
