Mahindra Brazil began a new phase of international expansion in October 2025 with the start of tractor exports to Latin American countries from its Brazilian operation. This strategy reinforces the manufacturer's presence on the continent and increases the brand's proximity to farmers in different markets.
The company already operates in the region through distributors in Bolivia, Guyana, Paraguay, and Uruguay, supplying machines from its factory in India. With this new phase, Brazil will play an active role in Mahindra's export structure, directly supporting regional expansion.
To lead the project, the company announced the arrival of Ricardo Dutra as export manager for Mahindra Brazil. The executive has over 25 years of experience in the commercial area and a focus on developing and consolidating business in the international market.
According to Dutra, Latin America presents great potential for agricultural growth. “Mahindra's portfolio fits the needs of each country, considering the diversity of crops and activities. Producers need a brand capable of adapting to this variety, and our products were developed to meet this reality,” he states.
As part of the initial expansion actions, between January 21st and 23rd, 2026, the Mahindra Latam team, represented by Ricardo Dutra and product marketing supervisor Gilberto Dutra, conducted technical and commercial training with the new distributor Automor/Car Motor in Paraguay.
During the meeting, tractor models ranging from 25 to 110 horsepower, manufactured in Brazil, India, and Turkey, were presented and discussed. The program included technical presentations, exchange of experiences, and strategic alignment to strengthen the network's presence in the Paraguayan market.
At the same event, Mahindra was officially launched in the city of Philadelphia, in the Paraguayan Chaco region, considered one of the country's main agribusiness areas. The event took place at the facilities of the Loma Plata Cooperative, a partner of Automor/Car Motor, marking another step in the brand's consolidation process in Latin America.
