MS Safra 2025/26: Soybean harvest enters final phase

The state has already harvested 86,6% of the area, while corn planting progresses.

The soybean harvest in Mato Grosso do Sul is nearing its final stage, while the planting of the second corn crop is progressing rapidly in the state. According to data from the Siga-MS Project, by Aprosoja/MS, as of March 27, 86,6% of the area cultivated with soybeans had already been harvested, equivalent to approximately 4,1 million hectares.

Last week, progress was 4,6 percentage points, with approximately 220 hectares harvested. 13,4% of the area still remains to be harvested.

The southern region of the state leads the work, with 95,5% of the area harvested. Next are the central region, with 77,7%, and the northern region, with 65,1%, where some of the crops still in the harvesting phase are concentrated.

Meanwhile, planting of the second corn crop has already reached 2,02 million hectares. As with soybeans, the southern region also shows the greatest progress in planting, with 95,8% of the area already planted. In the north, the rate reaches 85%, while in the central region it reaches 81,2%.

Despite regional differences, the pace of operations is within expectations for this time of year, according to Aprosoja/MS, reflecting the typical progress of the agricultural calendar in the state.
