The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa), through the Secretariat of Family Agriculture and Cooperatives (SAF), launched this Monday (27) a new service, completely digital, for obtaining credit through Terra Brasil - Program National Land Credit. The new platform can be accessed via Gov.br portal.
The objective is to facilitate and speed up access to rural credit for the acquisition of land and basic and productive infrastructure, through Terra Brasil, with resources from the Federal Government's Land Fund.
SAF estimates that the service will allow a reduction in the average processing time for financing proposals from 24 months to approximately six months. The flow will be reduced from 12 to six service phases divided as follows: Request; State Analysis; Federal Analysis; Financial analysis; Corrections and pending adjustments; and Finalization.
“This is another important stage in the work we have been carrying out since the beginning of the government with a focus on improving the Land Credit Program. The objective is to reduce bureaucracy and expand family farmers' access to land credit, qualifying the hiring process and making the granting of financing to rural workers faster”, highlights the Secretary of Family Agriculture and Cooperatives, Fernando Schwanke.
The digital service eliminates the need to deliver physical documentation to the federal government. All documents will be digitized, eliminating postage and mailing costs. The procedure will be carried out without in-person attendance. The technical financing project and all documentation of the candidate beneficiary, the seller and the rural property will be sent through the digital platform, from the initial request in the municipality until the release of the financing contract at the indicated bank branch. The physical documentary part will remain in the municipality for the interested party to deal with the competent property registry offices.
The digital service “Obter Crédito - Terra Brasil”, will also promote greater agility in the process of evaluating the eligibility of the candidate and the rural property, as well as making available, from the beginning, information on reference prices for acquiring land in Brazil, in the region of interest to the candidate. This information will allow greater agility in the preparation of the technical project, with technical economic and financial viability of the rural property, and speedy investigation by the competent bodies.
Furthermore, the new platform guarantees access to information in a transparent way, to monitor the stages of analysis, approvals, sending documents, correction of pending issues and requests for additional information, which will be automatically informed on the portal to the responsible technician, such as sent by email and cell phone message (SMS), to the interested farmer and rural producer.
The digital service “Obter de Crédito - Terra Brasil” is now available and access must be made through Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (Ater) companies, both public and private, which prove certification in the CET service - Certify Entities and Technicians for granting land credit. Therefore, citizens interested in obtaining credit to purchase rural property should contact the Ater company in their municipality to receive guidance on accessing rural credit with resources from the Land Fund, through Terra Brasil.
The new platform is aligned with the Digital Government strategy for the period from 2020 to 2022, a federal initiative whose focus is the transformation of the government, through digital technologies, to offer public policies and services to citizens with better quality, in a better way. simpler, more transparent and accessible at any time and place, bringing lower costs and greater efficiency to the entire society.
