The low supply of Tahiti lime has kept fruit prices high on the spot market in the state of São Paulo. According to Cepea employees, due to the high production of the variety in the first half of the year, availability in this off-season period is even lower than normal, a scenario that reinforces the movement towards increasing the value of the fruit.

Agents also report lower quality of Tahiti, especially caliber. This occurs because attractive marketing prices lead producers to advance the harvest, increasing the supply of small fruits.

Therefore, many buyers have adopted higher remuneration for the larger Tahiti. The sales average this week is R$ 94,52/box of 27 kg, harvested, an increase of 3,19% compared to the previous period.
