Brazilian agriculture becomes faster and more dynamic with each harvest, and the producer, faced with so many daily tasks, needs to make dozens of important decisions that will directly impact the success of his harvest. With the aim of facilitating these tasks, and making choices more assertive when programming pivots for irrigation, the new generation of ZIMMATIC panels arrives on the market. by Lindsay.

The new product is made up of three models (712C, 700C and 500C). According to Bernardo Gomes Norenberg, a specialist at Lindsay, the new panels arrive on the market with the aim of meeting all the needs of each producer profile. In addition to offering ease, the launches promote more technology in a simple and objective way. “These are low-maintenance modular panels, with a new design and easier to diagnose”, highlights Norenberg.

ZIMMATIC panel solutions

Among the new launches, the 712C panel is the most complete version in the line. The solution has a screen touch screen 12 inches and has an interface as easy and intuitive as the already established FieldNET platform by Lindsay, who facilitates all programming at pivot by the producer. “This model was designed for customers who prefer to program irrigation directly on the pivot. With the 712C he will have all the information he needs in a clear and objective way with a screen similar to the FieldNET that producers are already accustomed to”, highlights the professional.

The 700C version is very similar to the 712C model. The only difference is that if the producer needs to program more advanced pivot control functions, such as creating advanced irrigation plans, he must use FieldNET. With this fully integrated wireless management technology, you can view and control your systems from anywhere, simply by having access to a computer, smartphone or tablet.

Thinking about producers who do not need to carry out advanced irrigation management, Lindsay offers the 500C panel. The product, despite being the company's entry-level solution, has many more functions. Its functions include, for example, automatic stopping and reversing, pump activation and shutdown, among other features, such as automatic restart in the event of a power or pressure drop.

According to Lindsay's specialist, the 500C model is recommended for producers who do not need to know, for example, the position of the pivot in the field. “Those who do not manage irrigation by zones or do not need to create an advanced irrigation plan can easily opt for the 500C, which also has a lot of technology,” says Norenberg.

The three versions of the new panels are now available for the ZIMMATIC model 9500P and 7500P pivots. Furthermore, they are fully integrated with the FieldNET platform. It is important to highlight that the 712C and 700C models are also compatible with FieldNET Advisor technology. The irrigation management solution was designed to simplify and assist the producer's decisions, recommending when, where and how much to irrigate.

With FieldNET Advisor, simply enter the characteristics, planting dates and type of crops to be irrigated and the system will automatically combine this data with soil maps, meteorological information and irrigation histories. Then, together with the crop growth model, FieldNET Advisor will estimate the amount of water available in the soil for the crop and predict the future water needs of the irrigated field – generating variable recommendations that combine maximum crop yield with resource saving. “This new generation of panels is highly technological and will allow irrigators to enter the era of Digital Agriculture, achieving better productivity without waste”, he concludes.
