In January, Lar Cooperativa held the traditional Lar Field Day, bringing together associated families from 14 municipalities in the western and northern regions of Paraná. The event is a reference in the region as it is a showcase of agribusiness for those seeking knowledge, innovation and opportunities in the sector.
Traditionally, the first day of the event is dedicated to women and featured a special program, in addition to dynamics developed especially to welcome visitors. The lecture “Professionalization of Business through Women”, given by consultant, writer and speaker Mariely Biff, opened the day's agenda, engaging people in constructive discussions about succession and family governance in rural areas. More than a thousand women participated in the program.
“With this significant presence of the associated family, we have achieved our objective of transmitting knowledge through the best technologies and management available to us in the field, and all of this is connected to our purpose of cooperating to improve people’s lives,” highlighted Lar’s CEO, Irineo da Costa Rodrigues.
The field visit took place at the Lar Technology Unit, attached to the Lar Events Center, in Medianeira (PR). For three days, researchers, speakers and professionals from the area gathered to share knowledge and experiences, providing rural producers with the opportunity to interact and talk directly with experts.
Lar Cooperativa also presented 28 soybean cultivars to the public, grown at different times of the year, highlighting the potential and conditions of each one. In this way, producers had the opportunity to compare results and choose the options that best meet their needs. In total, 54 companies participated, 25 of which were agricultural inputs, 18 livestock inputs and 11 machinery and implements for the field, in addition to the partnership with IDR-PR (Rural Development Institute of Paraná) which had an exclusive research area.
