John Deere updates 6R tractors for the 2027 model year

According to the company, the 6R MY27 aims to combine the strength of a larger tractor with the agility and efficiency for daily tasks. The line now offers four chassis sizes and 15 models. The configuration allows the producer to combine power, comfort, hydraulics, and technologies according to the needs of the operation.

Main changes

Among the main changes is the e19 powershift transmission. The system aims to deliver smooth gear changes and performance in more demanding applications. John Deere also revised the cab and the CommandArm, with CommandX controls. The assembly increases interior space, improves visibility, and seeks to reduce fatigue on long journeys.

The company announced improvements to the suspension and steering. These features aim to enhance ride quality and tractor control in the field and on the road. The proposal includes smoother driving and greater operator confidence when traveling and operating under load.

Hydraulic system

The high-capacity, closed-center hydraulic system is compatible with loaders and implements used in row crop applications. The 6R MY27 also introduces a new front loader. The 6R MY27 line also features full-frame construction. John Deere states that this structure offers stability and reliability under heavy loads in the field and in frequent use with a loader. Another feature cited by the company involves Intelligent Power Management. The system provides additional power when the load or power take-off demand increases. The increase reaches 40 horsepower, with a maximum power of 305 horsepower in the 6R 260 MY27 model.

The manufacturer also points to improvements in the powertrain. The goal involves smoother power delivery, faster operation, and greater fuel efficiency in field and transport applications. Technology package
