John Deere introduces JD, an artificial intelligence assistant integrated into the Operations Center, in the United States. The tool allows producers to consult historical field, machine, and operational data by asking questions in natural language. The system aims to transform this information into answers applicable to agricultural management.

JD can compare fuel consumption in soil preparation operations over the years. It can also assess singulation between areas and relate the results to productivity. Other applications include analyzing the performance of sprayer operators and determining the harvest period based on historical trends.

According to John Deere, the feature reduces the need to consult different dashboards and reports. The answers use data from the agricultural operation itself.

The company also released the Farmer Data Commitment, a set of ten principles for data use. The policy keeps the producer in control of the information and provides for transparency regarding data use. John Deere states that it does not sell agricultural data nor use it for trading or speculation in commodities. The producer can choose third parties with access to the information and stop this sharing.

The company has launched a limited early access program for select agricultural customers in the United States. It anticipates expanding access further in 2026 through the Operations Center on the web and mobile devices. The company also plans to make JD available on in-cab monitor interfaces.
