John Deere announced the introduction of the new 6M Series tractors in Italy at Eima 2024. The new series now has a total of 17 models, 10 of which have power exceeding 150 horsepower (hp). According to the company, these models meet a wide range of demands, from the compact 6M 95 to the robust 6M 250, in addition to offering four different frame sizes, allowing greater flexibility for different agricultural needs.
Highlights of the series include the 6M 150, which has a 4-cylinder engine, and the 6M 145, with a 6-cylinder engine. The most powerful models in the series include the 6M 230 and 6M 250, which have a chassis with a 2.900 mm wheelbase.
The new tractors are equipped with 4,5 or 6,8-liter engines, all offering up to 20 additional horsepower of nominal power, thanks to the Intelligent Power Management (IPM) system, activated during transport applications or use of the power take-off (PTO).
The 6M Series offers several transmission options, including the PowrQuad Plus, the AutoQuad Plus with automatic range selection and the CommandQuad Plus with enhanced automatic capabilities. Additionally, the AutoPowr hydromechanical continuously variable transmission is available with either the compact CommandARM option or the right-hand console for operators who desire comfort but prefer simpler control.
New precision farming features are included in the 6M series, such as the AutoTrac system, section control and variable rate application. These solutions help optimize field performance, providing better use of inputs and increasing the efficiency of agricultural operations.
Another innovation highlighted by the company is the Data Sync system, which allows the synchronization of field data between machines automatically and wirelessly, facilitating the coordination of activities and optimizing working time.
