Expodireto Cotrijal 2026 concludes, reinforcing the leading role of agriculture.
The fair brought together 613 exhibitors, showcased technological innovations, and broadened discussions about indebtedness.
JTI is participating in Expoagro Afubra 2026 with dedicated spaces showcasing various stages of production, from seedling management to field demonstrations, soil care, and tobacco curing and quality, reinforcing the importance of adopting responsible practices in the field.
The objective is to strengthen the Integrated Production System (SIPT), a consolidated model that supports the partnership between the company and producers and contributes to the sustainability of the sector, in addition to highlighting the continuous evolution promoted in partnership with the producers, who are at the center of the company's business strategy.
JTI's presence at Expoagro also highlights the importance of tobacco farming to southern Brazil, an activity that sustains thousands of rural families and plays a significant role in the regional economy.
In addition to technical content, JTI is also showcasing some of its programs at Expoagro, such as JTI Bio, ARISE, and Health and Well-being in the Field. These programs are part of JTI's ESG agenda in the field, contributing to sustainable development, the well-being of farming families, and the continuous adoption of good agricultural practices.
To make the visit even more dynamic, the company presents two unprecedented interactive experiences: a game about NTRM (foreign material), which stimulates learning in a light and educational way, and a virtual reality immersion that guides the visitor through the entire JTI chain in Brazil, showing the journey of tobacco from production to the industry, all the way within the company until it reaches its consumers.
The activities were designed to facilitate hands-on learning, encourage the exchange of knowledge, and disseminate best practices among producers, technicians, and visitors, making the visit more interactive and applicable to daily life in the field.
“We have prepared a space designed to welcome our producers, partners, and other visitors in an interactive, comfortable, and playful way, without neglecting the technical aspects, which are fundamental to daily work in the field. Therefore, our booth remains focused on demonstrating the recommended practices for quality tobacco production aligned with the sector's sustainability,” says Cristina Quatke, Corporate Affairs and Communication Manager.
