At Tecnoshow Comigo 2025, held in Rio Verde (GO), the need for investments in infrastructure for the growth of the agricultural sector is highlighted. The event, which continues until Friday (11/4), is expected to generate more than R$ 10 billion.
The opening ceremony, this Monday (7/4), featured speeches by representatives of the agricultural sector and authorities from the government of Goiás, who emphasized the state's potential and the challenges faced by agriculture.
José Mário Schreiner, president of the Faeg/Senar System and vice-president of the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA), highlighted the lack of infrastructure as one of the biggest obstacles to the development of areas with high growth potential in the state. He stressed that a “public spirit of development” is necessary to face these challenges.
The event was also marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the state government and Cooperativa Comigo, which allocated R$158 million for the execution of a complex of road works in Rio Verde. The resources come from the State Infrastructure Fund (Fundeinfra).
The governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado, stated that the signing of the protocol represents a milestone in overcoming bureaucratic difficulties, paving the way for more companies to access Fundeinfra and expand the state's logistics. He also highlighted Goiás' potential as the third largest grain producer in Brazil and advocated investment in innovation and technology to expand agricultural production, with an emphasis on irrigation, enabling the cultivation of a third harvest.
Antonio Chavaglia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Comigo, celebrated the cooperative's 50th anniversary and highlighted the role of the fair for the Central-West, which has 695 exhibitors and an expected 150 visitors, an increase of 10% compared to the 2024 edition.
