Agricultural Market - March 31, 2026
USDA slows pace of expansion and supports grain market.
Planting of the second corn crop for 2025/26 has reached 99% of the planned 2,86 million hectares in Paraná. According to the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), the remaining area should be completed this week.
Crop conditions remain stable compared to the previous survey. Of the total area sown, 91% shows good development and potential to reach the expected average productivity, while 8% is in fair condition, with performance still uncertain. Only 1% of the areas are classified as poor, with a risk of losses.
According to Deral analyst Edmar Gervásio, the weather in March was unfavorable for the crop in the state, with irregular rainfall and heat waves that could limit production potential and result in a harvest below initial projections.
