September ends with the formation of a new extratropical cyclone off the coast of Southern Brazil, according to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet). The Cosmo numerical weather prediction model indicates that the system should begin to organize between late afternoon and early evening on Tuesday (September 29), between the coast of Uruguay and Rio Grande do Sul.

Throughout Wednesday (September 30th) and Thursday (October 1st), the extratropical cyclone intensifies, occurring when the atmospheric pressure at its center reaches a minimum value of 982 hPa. However, as the extratropical cyclone intensifies, the system also progressively moves away from Brazil.

Even so, the intensification of the cyclone contributes to the advance of a cold front, which will influence weather conditions in parts of the Central-West and Southeast regions and the state of Paraná, with rain, thunderstorms, gusts of wind, and the possibility of hail. On the other hand, the situation begins to change in southern Brazil with the arrival of a cold air mass and a high-pressure system, which should make the weather more stable and cause a drop in temperature in the region.

There is a possibility of frost in some areas of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina on the first day of October. See the complete forecast by region:
