Inmet: weather forecast for Tuesday (4) and Wednesday (5)

The forecast from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) for Tuesday (August 4th) and Wednesday (August 5th) highlights the persistence of instabilities over the Southern Region, bringing rain, thunderstorms and the possibility of hail in the three states. Unstable conditions are also advancing over areas of western Central-West, particularly Mato Grosso do Sul, and the Amazon, with isolated showers and thunderstorms. 

On the other hand, the weather remains dry in much of the country's interior, especially in the Central-West, Southeast, interior Northeast, and Tocantins regions. With low relative humidity levels, there is a warning of danger for values ​​below 20% in some areas. Rain is localized along the coast of the Northeast and Espírito Santo.

Northern Region

On Tuesday morning, isolated rain is expected in western Amazonas, with a possibility of isolated rain in Rondônia, Acre, Roraima, northern Pará, and Amapá. In the afternoon, instability intensifies over western Amazonas, favoring isolated rain and thunderstorms. There is also a possibility of isolated rain in southern Rondônia, western Acre, Roraima, northern Pará, and Amapá. At night, the rains become more isolated and occur in western Acre, Rondônia, western and northern Amazonas, Roraima, and along the coastal strip between Amapá and Pará. In other areas of the Northern Region, the weather remains stable, with predominantly clear skies and low relative humidity.

On Wednesday, unstable weather persists between Amazonas and Roraima, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected. There is also a possibility of isolated rain in Rondônia, Acre, northern Pará, and Amapá. In the remaining areas of the Northern Region, the weather remains stable, with mostly clear skies and low relative humidity.

For Tuesday and Wednesday, the orange warning for dangerous low relative humidity remains in effect for south-central Tocantins, where levels may fall below 20% during the afternoon. There is also a yellow warning for potentially dangerous low humidity in southeastern Pará and areas of Tocantins, with humidity levels requiring attention, especially during the hottest hours of the day, ranging between 20% and 30%.

Regarding temperatures, among the capital cities, the lowest predicted temperature is 20°C in Palmas (TO), while the highest temperature could reach 36°C, also in Palmas (TO).

North East Region

On Tuesday morning, isolated showers are expected along the coastal strip of the Northeast Region, while dry weather remains inland. Areas between the southern coast of Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco, and Alagoas are under a yellow warning for potentially dangerous heavy rains, valid until 10:00 AM. There is also a yellow warning for potentially dangerous strong winds in Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, west-central Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe, northern Bahia, much of Piauí, and southern Maranhão. In the afternoon, the possibility of isolated rain remains along the coastal strip, with precipitation that may move westward and reach some municipalities in the interior of Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, and Sergipe. In other areas, the weather remains stable.

For Tuesday afternoon, the orange warning for dangerous low relative humidity remains in effect in western Bahia, in the Luís Eduardo Magalhães region, where humidity levels may fall below 20% during the afternoon. There is also a yellow warning for potentially dangerous low humidity in south-central Maranhão, Piauí, southwestern Ceará, western Pernambuco, and west-central Bahia. At night, the possibility of isolated rain remains limited to the coastal strip, while the interior continues to experience dry weather.

On Wednesday, the possibility of isolated rain is limited to the coastal strip of the Northeast Region. Fog may also form at dawn in southern Bahia, especially in the Vitória da Conquista region. In other areas, the weather remains stable.

Regarding temperatures, among the capital cities, the lowest predicted temperature is 21°C in Salvador (BA), Maceió (AL), and Aracaju (SE), while the highest temperature could reach 35°C in Teresina (PI).

Midwest region

On Tuesday, there is a possibility of isolated rain in western Mato Grosso and in southwestern and southern Mato Grosso do Sul during the morning. In the extreme south of Mato Grosso do Sul, on the border with Paraguay, there is a yellow warning of potential danger for storms. In other areas of the Central-West Region, the weather remains stable. In the afternoon, instability increases in Mato Grosso do Sul, with the possibility of rain and thunderstorms in the southwest and south of the state. There is also a possibility of isolated rain in southwestern Mato Grosso. In other areas, the weather remains stable and dry. At night, the rains lose intensity and are restricted to western Mato Grosso do Sul.

For Tuesday, there is an orange warning for dangerous low relative humidity in northeastern Mato Grosso and northern Goiás, where levels could fall below 20% during the afternoon. There is also a yellow warning for potentially dangerous low humidity in central-eastern Mato Grosso, northeastern Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, and the Federal District.

On Wednesday, unstable weather patterns will move across the Central-West Region, with the possibility of isolated rain in western and southern Mato Grosso, throughout Mato Grosso do Sul, and in areas near the border with Goiás. In Mato Grosso do Sul, the rains will be more intense and may be accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in the border area with Paraguay and Paraná.

Regarding temperatures, among the capital cities, the lowest predicted temperature is 15°C in Brasília (DF), while the highest could reach 36°C in Cuiabá (MT).

Southeast

On Tuesday, the weather remains stable across most of the Southeast Region, with varying cloud cover in the morning and a chance of isolated showers along the northern coast of Espírito Santo. In the afternoon, there is still a possibility of isolated showers in Espírito Santo, which may also occur in northeastern Minas Gerais. In other areas of the region, the weather remains stable, with low relative humidity levels in the western part of the region. For Tuesday, there is a yellow warning of potential danger due to low relative humidity in north-central São Paulo and in west-central and southern Minas Gerais, with humidity levels between 20% and 30% in these areas during the afternoon. At night, there is still a possibility of isolated showers in north-central Espírito Santo, while the weather remains stable in the rest of the region.

On Wednesday, areas of instability will move over the state of São Paulo, with the possibility of isolated rain. In other areas of the Southeast Region, the weather will remain stable, with varying cloud cover, except in northern Minas Gerais, where the sky will be mostly clear with few clouds.

Regarding temperatures, among the capital cities, the lowest predicted temperature is 13°C in Belo Horizonte (MG), while the highest could reach 36°C in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

South

On Tuesday, rain, thunderstorms, and the possibility of hail are forecast for south-central Rio Grande do Sul during the morning. There is also a possibility of isolated showers in the north of the state, west-central Santa Catarina, and west and southwest Paraná. In the afternoon, instability persists over Rio Grande do Sul, with rain and thunderstorms. In south-central Santa Catarina and west and south Paraná, isolated showers are expected. At night, the instability weakens, but there is still a possibility of isolated showers in Rio Grande do Sul and along the border with Santa Catarina. In western Rio Grande do Sul, the weather remains stable.

On Wednesday, unstable weather patterns will continue to affect the Southern Region, with rain and thunderstorms forecast across all three states. There is a possibility of hail in western and southwestern Paraná, central-western Santa Catarina, and northern Rio Grande do Sul.

For Tuesday and Wednesday, there is a yellow warning of potential danger for storms in western and southern Paraná, in much of Santa Catarina, except for the Joinville region, and throughout Rio Grande do Sul.

Regarding temperatures, among the capital cities, the lowest predicted temperature is 15°C in Florianópolis (SC), while the highest could reach 26°C in Curitiba (PR).
