Inmet: weather forecast between July 6th and 13th, 2026

According to the numerical model of the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), the forecast for accumulated rainfall between July 6 and 13, 2026, indicates the highest volumes in the South, Southeast, northern North, and southern Central-West regions.

In the Northern Region, the highest rainfall totals are expected in northwestern Amazonas, Roraima, and northwestern Pará, where volumes may exceed 100 mm in some areas throughout the week. On the coast of Pará, in Amapá, and in central Amazonas, the predicted totals reach up to 40 mm. In eastern Acre, southern Amazonas, and central Pará, rainfall will be minimal, with approximately 5 mm during the period. In other areas, including western Acre, Tocantins, Rondônia, and southern Pará, the weather will remain stable, with no rain forecast.

The coast of the Northeast Region will continue to experience light and isolated rain throughout the week, with low accumulations between Maranhão and northern Alagoas, as well as the coast of Bahia. With the exception of Maranhão, rainfall is not expected to exceed 5 mm. In Maranhão, rain will occur in the form of isolated showers between the 6th and 11th, with localized accumulations of up to 30 mm per day in the north of the state and around 5 mm in the north-central region. In other areas, the weather will remain stable with no rain forecast.

The weather will remain stable across most of the Central-West Region throughout the week. Only southern Mato Grosso do Sul is expected to register more significant rainfall accumulations, up to 30 mm, while the central and eastern parts of the state may see up to 5 mm. Instability is expected on the 12th, associated with the passage of a cold front and the formation of a low-pressure center. No rain is forecast for the remaining states—Goiás, the Federal District, and Mato Grosso.

In the Southeast Region, the passage of a cold front will cause isolated showers on the coast of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro on the 7th, continuing on the 8th, when the instability will concentrate on the coast of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. A new round of instability will occur on the 12th, with the approach of another frontal system and the formation of a low-pressure center. During this period, rainfall totals could reach 30 mm in southern São Paulo, and up to 20 mm in Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.

In the Southern Region, the week begins with the arrival of a cold front this Monday (6), causing rain in eastern Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and southern Paraná, with accumulations of up to 20 mm. As the system moves, rain is still forecast in eastern Santa Catarina and Paraná. New instability hits the region on the 11th, associated with another cold front and the formation of a low pressure center. Accumulations may reach 30 mm in northern Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
