Inmet: Weather forecast for November 24-30, 2025

The week of November 24th to 30th will be marked by rain in the North, Central-West, Southeast, and South regions of the country. According to the Meteorological Report released today (November 24th) by the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), rainfall amounts could reach 100 mm in some areas, with the exception of the Northeast, where drought will prevail in most states. 

Na Northern RegionAreas of instability are expected to concentrate in the central region of Amazonas, while the other states will experience a wider distribution of rainfall, with low accumulations over 5 days around 20-50 mm, except for Amapá, northern Pará, and eastern Roraima, where it is not expected to rain or only experience possible localized, brief showers. Generally, rainfall is particularly expected in Amazonas throughout the week. As for relative humidity, it will generally remain high in the North Region (equal to or above 50%), except for Amapá and northern Pará, where it may reach levels around 30% during the week.

In virtually all of North East Region The forecast is for no rain this week, except in the south and west of Bahia, where rain is expected to return on Wednesday, November 26th, with volumes progressively increasing between November 26th and 27th. Rainfall totals in the western and southern interior of Bahia may reach between 50 and 100 mm, with the highest concentration expected on the 26th and 27th, which tend to present more intense rainfall and higher 24-hour accumulations (40-60 mm). Rain is also forecast, with smaller volumes, throughout the current week in the interior of Piauí and Maranhão, with isolated showers. Furthermore, low relative humidity levels are expected throughout the week in all states, especially in the region where Piauí, Ceará, Pernambuco, and Bahia meet, where values ​​will be around 20-30%, occasionally falling below 15%, with these levels rising (to around or above 50%) as rain occurs in southern and western Bahia.

Na Midwest regionHeavy rainfall is expected in northern Goiás (100-150 mm), and smaller but concentrated rainfall in the northern part of the Central-West region (60-80 mm). Rainfall will subside from November 26th onwards in the southern states and throughout Mato Grosso do Sul. In the Federal District, there may be localized and brief showers at times during the week, without significantly contributing to the total accumulated rainfall, which will be around 30 to 60 mm over 5 days. Also noteworthy is the forecast for relative humidity around 50%, declining to between 30-40% throughout the week, with lower levels in the south-central part of the region.

For SoutheastThe forecast indicates heavy rain at the beginning of the week due to a transient weather system affecting all states, with the movement of a subtropical cyclone associated with a cold front. This will start the week with heavy rainfall (40-100 mm) in São Paulo, and the possibility of storms throughout the state, especially along the coast. The following day (November 25th), similar rainfall will occur in the state of Rio de Janeiro and the southern half of Minas Gerais, and later (November 26th) in northern Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, but with smaller volumes. Generally, the highest accumulations are expected along the coast of São Paulo and in the southern part of Rio de Janeiro state, with 24-hour accumulations potentially exceeding 100 mm between November 24th and 25th. Lower relative humidity levels are expected in Minas Gerais in the middle of the week, with values ​​between 30-40%, and around or above 50% in other areas of the Southeast region.

For SouthHeavy rainfall is expected in the eastern and coastal areas of Santa Catarina and Paraná due to the presence of a trough at mid-levels (which will force the subtropical cyclone), favoring higher accumulations in northern Santa Catarina and along the entire coast of Paraná, which could exceed 115 mm on November 24th, the period of highest rainfall concentration in the Southern region. From November 25th to 28th, large-scale rainfall will practically cease, with the possibility of isolated showers along the coast of Santa Catarina and Paraná, but with low accumulations. During the week, the minimum relative humidity will be around 40-50%.
