Inmet: weather forecast between November 18 and 21, 2025

The week will be marked by rain in much of the country.

The week of November 18-21 will be marked by rain in much of the country. In some locations in the North Region, rainfall totals are expected to reach 200 mm. In the Northeast Region, lower precipitation levels are expected. This information is from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) bulletin, released today (November 18).

Na Northern RegionAreas of instability are expected to concentrate across most states, especially the western portion of Amazonas, Acre, and border regions with Rondônia, Pará, and Mato Grosso. In Amazonas and Pará, rainfall amounts may locally exceed 200 mm, and in some more specific regions, even 150 mm. In the states of Amapá, northern Pará, and northern Roraima, the average accumulated rainfall throughout the week should not exceed 10 mm, with indications only of possible localized, brief showers. In general, rain is especially expected in the western part of the North Region throughout the week. As for relative humidity, it will generally remain high in the North Region, except for Amapá and northern Pará, where it may reach levels around 30% starting on Tuesday (November 12th).

In virtually all of North East Region The forecast is for no rain at the beginning of this week, except in southern and western Bahia, where rain is expected to become recurrent starting on Wednesday, November 19th, progressively increasing in volume and spreading throughout the state in the following days. Accumulated rainfall in the interior of Bahia could exceed 60 mm/day. The highest accumulations are expected to be between 100 and 150 mm (over 5 days) in western Bahia and eastern Tocantins. Rain is also forecast, with smaller volumes, at the end of the current week in the interior of Pernambuco and Piauí, with isolated showers. Furthermore, low relative humidity levels are expected at the beginning of the week in the interior and west of the region, especially in the area where Piauí, Ceará, Pernambuco, and Bahia meet, where values ​​will be below 20%, and may occasionally fall below 15%, rising to around or above 50% as rain arrives from the interior of Bahia.

Na Midwest regionHeavy rainfall is expected at the beginning of this week in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, and well-distributed rainfall throughout the week in other states, with some areas of more significant rainfall in northern Goiás and Mato Grosso. In Mato Grosso do Sul, rainfall volumes between 100 and 150 mm are expected, which should occur during Monday (the 17th), and in the Federal District, there may be showers at times during the week, but in a localized and brief manner, without significant contributions to the accumulated rainfall, which will be around 20 to 40 mm in 5 days. Also noteworthy is the forecast of relative humidity around 50%, declining to between 30-40% throughout the week, with lower levels in the central-southern part of the region.

For SoutheastThe forecast indicates rain in all states due to the passage of a cold front, which begins the week with heavy rainfall in São Paulo, followed by heavy rainfall in the following days in the state of Rio de Janeiro and the southern half of Minas Gerais, and later in northern Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. The highest accumulations are expected between Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro, with daily totals that could exceed 100 mm on November 18th. Lower relative humidity levels are expected, with values ​​between 30-40% in western Minas Gerais, and around 50% in other areas of the Southeast region.

For SouthRain is forecast for Monday and Tuesday due to the passage of a cold front, favoring higher accumulations in the state of Paraná, with totals that could exceed 100 mm between November 17th and 18th, the period of highest rainfall concentration in the Southern region. For the 19th, 20th, and 21st, large-scale rainfall will practically cease, with the possibility of isolated showers on the coast of Santa Catarina and Paraná, but with low accumulations. During the week, the minimum relative humidity will be around 40-50%.
