Inmet: weather forecast between March 30th and April 6th

The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) forecasts a week marked by large volumes of rain in areas of the North Region and along the coastal strip of the South and Southeast regions, between March 30 and April 6. At the same time, heat continues to prevail in much of the country, with maximum temperatures that could reach 38 °C, especially in Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul.

Na Northern RegionThe highest rainfall totals are expected to be concentrated in Amazonas, western Roraima, northwestern and east-central Pará, and northern Tocantins, with volumes exceeding 80 mm and the possibility of surpassing 150 mm in isolated areas. Rainfall tends to be more persistent in Roraima and western Amazonas, while in other areas it will be weaker and more isolated.

No NortheastThe most significant rainfall is expected in north-central Maranhão and Piauí, as well as southern Ceará, with accumulations around 80 mm and peaks of up to 150 mm. In southern Bahia and areas of Maranhão, rainfall should vary between 50 mm and 80 mm. In the rest of the coast and inland areas, rainfall will be more irregular, with accumulations between 20 mm and 50 mm or less.

No MidwestRainfall is expected to be concentrated in northern Mato Grosso, with accumulations of up to 70 mm, possibly exceeding 80 mm in some areas. In the south-central part of the state, northwestern Goiás, and the Federal District, volumes will vary between 20 mm and 40 mm. In other areas, the trend is for poorly distributed rainfall and low accumulations.

For SoutheastThe forecast indicates persistent rainfall along the coast of São Paulo, the Paraíba Valley, and the southern coast of Rio de Janeiro, with volumes exceeding 50 mm and peaks of up to 80 mm. In Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, and the interior of São Paulo, accumulations will vary between 20 mm and 50 mm, while the rest of the region is expected to register low volumes.

Na SouthThe highest rainfall totals are expected along the coast of Paraná and in parts of Santa Catarina, with volumes exceeding 50 mm and potentially reaching 80 mm. Inland, rainfall tends to be more irregular and with lower totals.

High temperatures prevail

Temperatures will remain high across much of Brazil throughout the week. NorthMaximum temperatures range between 28°C and 32°C, and may exceed 34°C in areas of Amazonas, Roraima, Amapá, and Tocantins. Minimum temperatures range between 22°C and 24°C.

No NortheastThe heat intensifies inland, with highs between 34°C and 38°C, especially in Piauí, Ceará, and the semi-arid region. In other areas, temperatures should range between 30°C and 32°C.

No MidwestThe highlight is the southern part of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, where highs can reach up to 38°C. In other areas, temperatures will vary between 30°C and 32°C, with lows between 20°C and 24°C.

No SoutheastTemperatures remain high in northern Minas Gerais, western São Paulo, and much of Rio de Janeiro, with highs between 30°C and 34°C. Lows range between 18°C ​​and 22°C, with lower temperatures recorded in mountainous areas.

Already in SouthMaximum temperatures range between 24°C and 28°C in eastern Paraná and Santa Catarina, while in Rio Grande do Sul and the western parts of these states, thermometers can reach 36°C. Minimum temperatures fluctuate between 18°C ​​and 22°C, with milder values ​​in higher altitude areas.
