The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) released today (June 1st) the weather forecast until June 8th, 2026. Bulletin No. 22/2026 indicates that the week will be marked by intense rain in the North Region and a drop in minimum temperatures in the South, Southeast, and Central-West regions of the country.
No NorthThe highest rainfall totals are expected in Amazonas, Pará, Amapá, and Roraima, with volumes that could exceed 200 millimeters throughout the week. In Acre, northern Rondônia, and Tocantins, the trend is for more isolated and less intense rainfall. Maximum temperatures should be around 32°C in most of the region, possibly reaching up to 37°C in southern Pará.
No NortheastAccording to Inmet (National Institute of Meteorology), rain is forecast for practically all of Maranhão, with accumulations of up to 100 mm on the northwest coast. Precipitation is also expected along the region's coast, especially between Rio Grande do Norte and Alagoas, where volumes could reach 60 mm. The coast of Bahia will see the highest accumulations, exceeding 100 mm. Meanwhile, the interior of the Northeast remains under the influence of the typical drought of the period, with low humidity and little chance of rain. Maximum temperatures could reach 35 °C, while minimum temperatures should drop to 14 °C in southern Bahia.
No MidwestThe forecast indicates isolated and low-volume rains in areas of northern Goiás, the Federal District, northern Mato Grosso and southern Mato Grosso do Sul. In other areas, dry and stable weather predominates, with relative humidity around 30%. Maximum temperatures may reach 36 °C in northern Mato Grosso. From Thursday (4), a colder air mass should lower temperatures in southeastern Goiás and the Federal District, with minimums close to 10 °C.
No SoutheastThere is a forecast of light rain on the coast between São Paulo and Espírito Santo, especially in Rio de Janeiro, where accumulations could reach 20 mm. In Minas Gerais, rainfall is expected in Zona da Mata, the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte and Campo das Vertentes until Wednesday (3). After this period, the weather tends to become more stable. The north of Minas Gerais and the central-west of São Paulo should remain without rain. Minimum temperatures could reach 10 °C in mountainous areas at the beginning of the week and drop to 7 °C in Serra da Mantiqueira from Friday (5).
Na SouthThe forecast indicates light and isolated rain on the coast until Thursday (4). Between Friday (5) and Saturday (6), the weather should remain stable, with a reduction in relative air humidity. On Sunday (7), new instabilities should reach the extreme south of Rio Grande do Sul, with accumulations of up to 40 mm. In the interior of the region, the weather remains stable and without rain forecast. The minimum temperatures should vary between 8 °C and 10 °C, possibly reaching 4 °C in the mountains of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
