The highest rainfall totals for the week of March 09-16, 2026, are predicted for northern São Paulo state, the Triângulo Mineiro region, southern Goiás, as well as areas in northern Mato Grosso do Sul and the Legal Amazon.

The trend is for high temperatures in north-central Brazil, especially in inland areas of the Northeast Region.

Conversely, in the eastern parts of the South and Southeast regions, a decline in temperatures is expected, especially in maximum temperatures, due to the passage of a cold front along the coast of these regions.

Na Northern RegionThe highest rainfall totals are expected in central-eastern Amapá, eastern and northeastern Pará, and central-western Amazonas, exceeding 80 mm and potentially reaching over 150 mm in isolated areas. It is noteworthy that rainfall tends to be more persistent in Amapá and western Amazonas. On the other hand, in eastern Roraima and the far northwest of Pará, rainfall tends to be weak and isolated.

Na North East RegionThe highest rainfall totals are expected in north-central Maranhão and northwestern Piauí, with values ​​around 80 mm, possibly reaching 150 mm in isolated areas of Maranhão. On the coast and in southern Ceará, values ​​between 50 and 80 mm are expected. In western and southeastern Bahia, totals should vary between 20 and 50 mm, while in the rest of the region rainfall tends to be weak or scarce.

Na Midwest regionRainfall tends to concentrate in north-central Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, as well as south-central Goiás, with accumulations close to 80 mm, possibly reaching more than 150 mm in some areas. In eastern Goiás, the Pantanal region of Mato Grosso, and southern Mato Grosso do Sul, light rainfall and low accumulations are expected.

Na SoutheastThe week is expected to bring persistent rainfall, with accumulations that could exceed 200 mm in northern São Paulo and the Triângulo Mineiro region. In eastern São Paulo, southern and eastern Minas Gerais, accumulations could reach 100 mm. Weaker rainfall with lower accumulations is expected in northern Minas Gerais, where it should not exceed 10 mm.

Na SouthThe week is expected to bring light rain with low accumulations to most of the region. Only in the northeast and coastal areas of Paraná, as well as in the southeast and northwest of Rio Grande do Sul and the east of Santa Catarina, are accumulations expected to exceed 30 mm, possibly reaching 60 mm in the northeast of Paraná.
