Horsch do Brasil officially presented today (23/03) three models of seeders and fertilizer machines: the Maestro Evolutino, Maestro Kompass and Fertilizer EVO CS seeders, both with projects developed and parameterized for possible new adjustments to soils and crops in the different Brazilian states .
In addition to the new products, the German company that produces equipment for soil preparation, planting, sowing, spraying, hybrid agriculture, logistics and intelligence, announced an investment of R$200 million for the construction of its first factory in South America, with Headquarters in the Industrial City of Curitiba, Paraná.
In Brazil since 2017, HORSCH is currently installed in an area of 18 thousand m², and generates 120 direct jobs and another thousand indirect jobs. To date, R$50 million has already been invested to implement the first phase. “With the new factory coming into operation, which is scheduled for the beginning of 2023, the generation of new direct and indirect jobs will be much greater”, highlights the General Director of HORSCH do Brasil, Rodrigo Duck.
With the factory fully operational, the Brazilian market alone will represent a significant position for the group's overall results in the world. “Today, we operate with the assembly of machines and components, and with this official launch of Fertilizer and Planter in Brazil, we will strengthen our relationship with producers”, he explains.
Duck guarantees that the company is ready to begin a solid expansion in Brazil, which has been a great laboratory to make the adaptability capacity even faster and more precise to the productive needs of different Brazilian crops and regions. The executive also says that the company will produce machines in Brazil with advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence that can learn and solve problems that occur in the field, during operation, quickly.
The Maestro Evolution seeder is the updated version of the Maestro SW planter that received the new HORSCH Airvac electric doser, as well as upgrades that increased its efficiency and ease of operation. Developed for direct planting, the machine is bi-articulated and is available in versions: 24, 30, 36, 39 and 40 rows at 45, 50 or 60cm spacing.
Among the main features of the model, it is possible to highlight the flexible planting bar with two or three sections of six meters (depending on the model), it is perfect for operation in terrace areas or contour lines and uneven terrain. In addition to the pantographic articulation of the lines that work vertically, helping to ensure the uniform depth of the seeds.
The planting bar closing system reduces the width of the machine to 3,10m, in transport mode for movement from one field to another and/or from one farm to another.
With a capacity of 9.000 liters, the single central tank can hold approximately 7.000kg of seeds. The AirVac electric seed doser eliminates possible failures due to the use of gears, chains, cardans, and allows you to regulate the exact seed population and simulate planting by checking the coefficient of variation, all through the tractor monitor even when the machine is stopped. This model was developed for the reality of Brazilian crops, with a reinforced structure on a resistant chassis, shielded hubs and bearings that generate low maintenance costs and fewer interruptions during the planting window.
Like other HORSCH seeders, the Maestro Evolution has ISOBUS communication protocols, allowing you to control them via the Touch 800 monitor or on the monitor on the tractor.
Another difference is the small seed kit, which allows intercropped planting of corn and brachiaria, as well as other granules, such as fertilizers or insecticides. This kit transforms the planter into a small grain seeder with the machine's original spacing, making it possible to use the machine to sow cover crops.
Available in versions 12, 14, 16 and 18 lines, spacing of 45 and 50, the Maestro Kompass is an articulated planter composed of two independent planting bars that provide greater adaptation to the terrain.
It has a capacity of 6.000 liters, a single central input tank divided into 4.500 liters for fertilizer and 1.500 liters for seeds. It has a variable seed population rate system and fertilizer as a standard item. Through the Prescription Map it is possible to automate the distribution of inputs according to soil variation, generating greater productivity.
As standard, the machine also has section control that allows the lines to be turned on and off automatically via GPS signal, avoiding the overlapping of inputs, generating savings during planting. For transport, the planter has a bar closing system, reducing the width of the machine to 3,20m.
Available in two fixed models with 24 lines with a spacing of 45 cm, the EVO CS is a high-performance fertilizer machine for applying granulated fertilizer using furrowing rods at depths of up to 35cm in a working range of up to 10,80 meters.
It has two central fertilizer dosers of up to 1.000 kg/ha and allows working at a speed of 10km/h with a maximum variation of 5% of the target rate. It has a split central tank capacity of 12.000 liters. A MiniDrill device is an option that makes it possible to sow small seeds with a 400-liter pressurized tank. It has a variable rate as standard. Fertilizer is deposited using narrow furrowing rods that do little to disturb the soil and require less dragging force.
