High doses of limestone increase productivity in Matopiba
Application of doses of 10 tons per hectare resulted in increases of 18% and 12%
Constantly evolving and understanding the needs of rural producers, Alta Defensivos has just launched the acaricide Vilora for the Brazilian market. Vilora is a long-residual product specially developed for the effective control of several pests in important crops such as coffee and citrus, among others.
The product is indicated for the control of mites such as leprosy mite and red mite in coffee, leprosy mite, false rust mite, red mite, purple mite and white mite in citrus, and coconut necrosis mite in coconut.
According to agricultural engineer Thiago Duarte Branco, responsible for the Alta Defensivos portfolio, the development team faced the challenge of creating an effective and cost-effective solution to meet the needs of farmers and contribute to more profitable production.
Furthermore, the team focused on formulating a product that is selective for natural enemies, ensuring efficient control of mites in the registered crops, without compromising the ecological balance.
“The choice of the active ingredient spirodiclofen, recognized for its effectiveness in controlling various species of mites, was fundamental to ensuring the efficiency of the product”, he comments.
These guidelines for the development of Vilora resulted in an acaricide that not only effectively controls pests, but also promotes sustainability and profitability in agricultural production.
