BASF launches Sistiva fungicide for wheat
The product is available for use in this 2024 harvest; Its active ingredient is fluxapyroxad (fluxapyroxad)
Good news for family farmers who recorded major crop losses in the 2022/2023 harvest, whether due to drought or excessive rain: The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture authorized, starting this Friday, the payment of the Guarantee. Harvest for farmers who signed up for the benefit, which now amounts to R$ 1.200,00.
In Minas Gerais, the resources will reach 35,320 thousand farmers, from 102 municipalities, for a total of R$42,384 million. The funds will be released in a single installment, starting this month of March 2024, on the dates defined by the Caixa Econômica Federal social benefits payment calendar. Payment will be available at Caixa branches, lottery outlets and also via the Caixa Tem application (APP).
The coordinator of the Harvest Guarantee Program at Emater-MG, Eunice Ferreira, highlights the importance of increasing the value of the benefit: "Since 2013, the value was frozen at R$ 850,00. The adjustment will provide greater relief for farmers who suffered losses in the last harvest and are already suffering from the losses caused by the severe drought in 2023."
Eunice Ferreira explains that family farmers who joined the program before planting the 2022/2023 harvest are entitled to receive the Harvest Guarantee released in March. Another requirement is that municipalities have joined the program, which has resources from the state, federal, municipal governments and farmers. And it is also necessary for the municipality to have proven losses of more than 50% in crops, due to drought or excess water in the period.
