Published in the Official Gazette of the Union, the Ordinance No. 274, which determines the payment of the Harvest Guarantee benefit to more than 74 thousand family farmers, who joined the 2020/2021 harvest. This month, farmers in the following states will receive payment: Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí and Sergipe. The amount authorized for these farmers exceeds R$63,5 million.
As a result of measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, full payment of the Harvest Guarantee benefit will be made in a single installment of R$850, as published in Ordinance No. 15, of April 14, 2020.
Garantia-Safra aims to guarantee food security for family farmers who live in regions systematically subject to crop loss due to drought or excessive rainfall. Farmers with a monthly income of up to one and a half minimum wages are entitled to receive the benefit, when they have production losses in their municipalities equal to or greater than 50%.
To join the Garantia-Safra, it is also necessary to have the Declaration of Aptitude for Pronaf (DAP) and plant between 0,6 and 5,0 hectares of beans, corn, rice, cotton and/or cassava. The benefit is made available in accordance with the social benefits payment schedule.
Farmers adhering to Garantia-Safra who had the granting of the benefit blocked in municipalities with payment authorization in January/2022 must comply with the guidelines set out in Ordinance No. 25, of July 8, 2020, to regularize the situation.
If the benefit is blocked, the farmer must access his profile on Harvest Guarantee Management System and check the reason for the block by checking the notification on your profile.
The farmer will have up to 30 days, after the publication of the Ordinance authorizing the payment of the benefit, to express his opinion regarding the blockade, through the “Request a Defense Request after blocking the Harvest Guarantee Benefit", on the Gov.br platform.
Discover: here the list of farmers who had the granting of the benefit blocked, in a precautionary manner, according to Ordinance No. 25, of July 8, 2020. The same list is also forwarded by the State Coordinations to municipal managers.
