What all farmers seek on their properties is security and tranquility to guarantee good production. When we talk about growing vegetables, fruits, legumes and ornamentals, care needs to be even greater. One of the most efficient tools in this sense are greenhouses, as with this system it is possible to have greater control of the microclimate, low incidence of pests and weeds, healthier soils and easier management.
Some research indicates that protected cultivation combined with technology has been responsible for the 30% expansion of productivity in the horticultural belt in the interior of São Paulo in recent years. Holambra, Atibaia, Mogi das Cruzes, Ibiúna, São Miguel Arcanjo, Bragança Paulista, a part of Vale do Paraíba and Vale do Ribeira, are just some of the regions that stand out, mainly due to their adherence to technology. “We have seen good productivity rates not only in the interior of São Paulo, but also in the south of Minas Gerais and also in Serra Gaúcha, as farmers, using greenhouses, are able to reduce risks, especially against bad weather”, says Diego Schmidt, agronomist and market intelligence from the Nortène Group.
One of these technologies to make this cultivation system even more efficient, capable of achieving up to 50% greater productivity in a controlled environment compared to open field production, has just been launched by the Nortène Group. The new Maxilux line of agricultural films has three new products: HALS DIF AE, HALS DIF AV UV and UV blocker. According to Schmidt, all launches are equipped with high diffusion and anti-static, which prevents the accumulation of dust on the surface of the stove. Furthermore, they have specific antivirus additives. “These are films that can be used in all types of cultivation, which bring a very high quality of light inside the greenhouse and this favors high crop productivity”, he highlights.
Among the differences of the new line, the highlight is the higher rate of photosynthesis, which guarantees better productivity and quality, as it reduces the plant cycle. Maxilux products also have UV blocking (ultraviolet radiation) developed to prevent crop burning. All these benefits are only possible thanks to exclusive Israeli technology in the development of the films. “This innovation is linked to the quality of the plastic, and Israel is a pioneer in agricultural films in the world, we use this technology, not only for production, but also for raw materials, specific additives, plastic formulations, which allows the manufacture of products high performance”, concludes the agronomist.
Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Barueri/SP, Nortène is a pioneer in the supply of: geomembrane reservoirs, agricultural films, mulching, woven plastic screens, thermo-welded plastic screens, silo-bag, agro silo Flex-silon tube, siding screens and canvas for construction. Nortène also contributes its exclusive plastics technology to the manufacturing and marketing of products from the following companies: Engepol Geosintéticos, Santeno Irrigação, Tecnofil Soluções em meshes and Silox storage.
