Agents in the rice sector have gradually resumed activities in recent days, increasing liquidity and favoring firm price levels in Rio Grande do Sul. This movement resulted from the slight greater demand for the cereal – with part of the agents opting for acquisitions in regions further away from the destination – and the recent advances in the dollar, which have stimulated exports.

However, the interest of producers in new negotiations was limited, since these agents have expectations of higher values and remain attentive to the need for purchases by mills. On the other hand, isolated cases of greater supply from rice farmers have been recorded, as certain companies stipulate a deadline for grain received during the harvest period to be negotiated before the next season's harvest.
