A Demand for paddy rice was slightly higher in Rio Grande do Sul in the last days. Industries from Rio Grande do Sul and other states sought to replace their stocks and, in some cases, also increased purchase offers for carry out new batches. Most producers, in turn, remain retracted.

In that scenario, according to data from Cepea, rice values ​​continue to rise. A weighted average of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, represented by the Indicator CEPEA/IRGA-RS (58% of whole grains and cash payment), rose 1,72% among 15 and March 22, closing at R$ 76,42/50 kg bag on Tuesday, 22 – on partial this month (until the 22nd), the Indicator accumulates an increase of 3,38%.
