FPT Industrial powers Case Construction's new E Series excavators
With the E Series, CASE completes its Stage V line, confirming FPT Industrial as a solid partner
Adecoagro, one of the main players in the sugar-energy and food market in the world, received for the second consecutive year the Social Seal “Woman Friendly Company”, granted by the government of Mato Grosso do Sul. Recognition to the Company, for its educational promotion programs , valuing and defending women's rights in the workplace, was delivered on March 08th, International Women's Day.
The work developed by the Gender Equity Pillar of the 'Adecoagro Multi Inclusion Program' and the 'Proteger Program', which promote respect for women's rights, female empowerment, a work environment free of violence and harassment, as well as reaffirm the importance of confronting all forms of discrimination and gender prejudice, were selected by a broad committee with representatives from the Undersecretariat of Public Policies for Women; from Semagro; the State Council for Women's Rights; of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul; the Regional Labor Court of the 24th Region; from the Public Ministry of Labor – Attorney's Office of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul; of the Public Defender's Office of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul and Sebrae (Support Service for Micro and Small Businesses).
“Receiving this recognition from the State Government gives us even more energy to continue carrying out actions that transform lives and we hope to be an inspiration for more companies to engage with the cause of gender equality, as it is a concrete contribution to the communities in which the Company It's inserted. The role of companies is fundamental to the protection of human rights”, highlights Franciene Cristina da Silva, Manager of Health and Wellbeing, Diversity and Corporate Citizenship at Adecoagro.
Created through Decree No. 15.551, the Social Seal is an initiative of the Government of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, through the Subsecretariat of State for Public Policies for Women (SPPM) and has the support and participation of Semagro (Secretariat of Environment, Economic Development, Production and Family Agriculture). According to the Undersecretary of State for Public Policies for Women, Luciana Azambuja, the Women's Friendly Company Social Seal comes to recognize and publicize companies, public and private, that have social responsibility with an issue as important as women's right to live without violence and work in a dignified and healthy environment.
The event was also attended by the first lady of the State, Fátima Azambuja; the Secretary of Citizenship and Culture (Secic) João Cesar Mattogrosso; the CEO of AGEMS, Carlos Alberto de Assis; the deputy secretary of Semagro, Ricardo Sena, the Public Defender coordinating NUDEM – Dr. Thais Donato, the Public Prosecutor Dr. Clarissa Torres and Bianca Knorst, representing the State Council for Women.
