Goiás exports reach a high of US$ 1,3 billion in April

Goiás is in 8th position in the national ranking among the states that sold the most to foreign trade

Goiás saw an increase in Goiás exports in April, with US$1,315 billion in products sold abroad. The trade balance data comes from the State Secretariat for Industry, Commerce and Services (SIC) and was released by the Superintendency of Foreign Trade and Attraction of International Investments, based on statistics from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (Mdic) .

The municipalities of Rio Verde, Jataí, Pires do Rio, Mozarlândia and Alto Horizonte are the main exporters and together they account for approximately US$776 million in sales. Soy and its derivatives, meat, cotton and copper ore are the main goods exported by these five cities.

For governor Ronaldo Caiado, the data demonstrates that Goiás has precision agriculture, with exponential productivity capacity. “We are a reference in the world in technology and respect for the environment in agriculture, with great potential and investment in innovation and research”, he states.

The results place Goiás in 8th place in the ranking of Brazilian states that sold the most in April, the same position in the accumulated period from January to April 2024. “The historical data that Goiás has achieved in recent times shows the strength of Goiás’ economy and the quality of our products, in addition to all the work that Governor Ronaldo Caiado does at the head of the state”, highlights the head of SIC, Joel Sant'Anna.

Still according to the trade balance figures, the top ten countries that purchased the most products from Goiás in April were: China, Spain, Indonesia, the Netherlands (Netherlands), Vietnam, Finland, Thailand, Italy, the United States and the United Arab Emirates.

Positive Balance In April, Goiás' surplus was positive and had a balance of US$855 million, US$317 million more than what was recorded in March. In the accumulated period from January to April, the balance is US$ 2 billion. Imports totaled US$459 million last month and, from January to April 2024, they total US$1,828 billion.

The Brazilian trade balance also closed April with a positive balance: it was US$9 billion, with exports of US$30,9 billion and imports of US$21,8 billion.
