The duo formed by Anderson Rodrigues, from the Sotrima dealership, in Vacaria (RS), and Darlon Mota, from Redemaq, in Patos de Minas (MG), was crowned champion of the second season of Master Mechanic, a reality show promoted by Massey Ferguson to select the best agricultural mechanics in Brazil.

The program, which values technical skills and knowledge of high-tech machines, is broadcast on the brand's official YouTube channel and has attracted the attention of professionals in the sector.

Technology and precision in the spotlight

The competition challenges participants in adjustment and configuration tests of state-of-the-art agricultural machinery, with a focus on ensuring precision and productivity in the field.

In this edition, the judges evaluated the mechanics' skills in configuring the MF 8S tractor and the Momentum planter, a set that requires detailed technical knowledge to achieve maximum performance in agricultural productivity.

Bruno Pianca, Massey Ferguson service manager and one of the competition judges, highlighted the importance of correct calibration between the tractor and the planter. “The adjustment between the tractor and the implement is essential to ensure that the equipment works in harmony, delivering the productivity expected by the farmer,” he explained.

Recognized technical competence

The winners, Anderson Rodrigues and Darlon Mota, were awarded an exclusive trophy, R$20 for each member and a trip to Buenos Aires for two, which included a visit to the Massey Ferguson factory in General Rodriguez, Argentina. For Anderson, the victory represents more than just winning the prize.

“The competition was intense and I did my best to win the prize. This experience only reinforces the importance of always being up to date with new technologies,” said the mechanic from Rio Grande do Sul.

Darlon Mota, his teammate, highlighted the team spirit and the value of technical preparation. “This award is the result of a lot of study and partnership. I believe that Master Mechanic has opened doors for more mechanics to be inspired and seek qualifications to interpret and apply technology in the field,” he commented.

Technical evolution of participants

With a high technical level, the second season of Master Mechanic surprised the judges and viewers. José Fernando Schlosser, professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria and judge of the program, pointed out that the level of the participants exceeded expectations.

“The participants dealt with machines that require a deep understanding of the onboard technology. The tests were rigorous, but the mechanics showed that they were prepared to overcome them with excellence,” he said.

The competition

The Master Mechanic featured six mechanics, selected from Massey Ferguson dealership professionals from different regions of Brazil, including Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul. Divided into pairs by lottery, the participants underwent a series of technical tests.

In addition to the winning duo, Antônio Carlos Rocha and Patrick Steffanello took second place, while Emerson Gonçalves and Higor de Freitas Larson came in third place.
