BNDES releases an additional R$ 15,3 billion for the 2025/26 Harvest Plan.
Resources support both commercial and family farming, raising approved credit to R$ 30,8 billion.
The Frísia and Castrolanda cooperatives, headquartered in Carambeí (PR) and Castro (PR), respectively, will begin an inter-cooperation system in the seed sector on February 2nd. This announcement, which consolidates a strategic plan focused on operational excellence, unites the tradition and technical capacity of the Batavo Seeds and Castrolanda Seeds brands, which together have sold over 2 million bags of seeds in soybean, wheat, bean, and barley crops.
The initiative also brings together members from both cooperatives, specialists in seed production, strengthening a chain built with technique, rigor, and a quality standard recognized by the market. For Ralph Sahd Jobbins, Agricultural Executive Manager at Frísia, the movement reaffirms the commitment of the cooperatives in the Campos Gerais region of Paraná to the sustainability of the business and the pursuit of consistent results.
“Intercooperation validates an efficient and scalable business model. We are confident in the potential to expand our market share in the seed market with this synergy. The central focus of this integration is to maximize value creation throughout the chain, delivering solidity and profitability for cooperative members, business partners, and customers,” he emphasizes.
According to Jobbins, seed intercooperation unites complementary high-performance assets and covers the entire production and logistics cycle. Frísia has a seed analysis laboratory in Ponta Grossa (PR), which is a technical reference in the sector, and Processing Units (UBS) in Ponta Grossa and Tibagi, also in Paraná, equipped with a high capacity for refrigerated storage.
Castrolanda has processing units in Castro and Itaberá (SP), which are benchmark facilities in technology and processes, with laboratory support at the units, in addition to a strategic distribution center in Castro, ensuring agility and reach.
The partnership will enable an increase in the portfolio of products and services offered, greater capacity to meet volume demands, and diversification of investments in serving the market. The model will also increase storage, logistics, and production distribution capacity.
“The strategy focuses on increasing the competitiveness of cooperative producers and optimizing processes, ensuring that our brands gain even more relevance and reach in the market. By uniting highly specialized cooperative members and robust structures in one of the main seed production regions in Brazil, Frísia and Castrolanda are consolidating themselves among the major references in the seed sector in Brazil, prepared to meet the demands of agribusiness with agility and high quality standards,” concludes Tatiane Bugallo, Executive Manager of Agricultural Business at Castrolanda.
