Field work begins in Pernambuco for the next harvest survey

The National Supply Company (Conab) team is in the field in Pernambuco to collect data on the condition of corn, beans and rice crops in the state's countryside and hinterland. The data generated – combined with others obtained by satellite – should support the 6th Grain Harvest Bulletin 2020/2021, which will be published on March 11th.

The technicians will travel through the grain producing regions, visiting local properties and representatives of regional agencies such as the Pernambuco Agronomic Institute (IPA) and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). The survey will evaluate planting intentions for 1st harvest crops, especially corn, which represents the largest volume and area of ​​production in this period.
