Field research to carry out the latest survey of the coffee harvest in the state of São Paulo begins this Monday (26th) and runs until December 8th. In this survey, in addition to consolidating the numbers that close the 2018 coffee harvest, technicians from the National Supply Company (Conab) will also begin product research for the next harvest.
The areas covered in the study are in the regions of Franca and São João da Boa Vista, where the representation of Arabica coffee in the state is strongest. The municipalities of Garça, Marília, Jaú and Bragança Paulista will also be visited. Data collection is carried out in coffee cooperatives, agricultural houses and other segments of the coffee sector.
With production estimated at more than 6 million bags, São Paulo accounts for the 2nd largest production of Arabica coffee in the country. In the last survey released by Conab, last September, the state recorded a productivity of around 30,77 bags of 60 kg per hectare. The results of this research will be released on December 18th, at the Company's headquarters in Brasília.
