The C.Vale cooperative is holding the 19 edition of its Summer Field Day from the 21th to the 2019st of February, in Cruz Alta, RS, Rio Grande do Sul. The central themes of the meeting will be soil management and soybean diseases. The Australian company Nufarm will set up demonstration fields at its stand with an emphasis on the agronomic performance of the herbicides ZethaMaxx and Crucial, the fungicide Manfil and the SeedProtection seed treatment platform.
Another highlight of the company will be the Nufarm Care program, aimed at the safe and sustainable use of agricultural pesticides in Brazil.
According to Nufarm's product and market development agronomist, Glauber Sturmer, the ZethaMaxx herbicide has been applied to control weeds such as horseweed and bittergrass, in desiccation and in the pre-planting of oilseeds.
The Crucial herbicide, says Sturmer, “has excellent performance in controlling weeds, even during rainy periods”. “This product formulated based on double salt technology provides a faster effect compared to other glyphosates available on the market”, continues Sturmer.
To control soybean diseases, Nufarm will address field results of the fungicide Manfil, which has the support of producers from Rio Grande do Sul to manage resistance to the fungus that causes soybean rust, for example.
According to Sturmer, the Nufarm platform for seed treatment, called SeedProtection, is another solution from the company that is successful in Rio Grande do Sul. The line has been applied to control pests and diseases in seeds and seedlings of soybeans, corn, cotton , wheat and other crops. SeedProtection is made up of the insecticides Maestro FS, Inside FS, Adage 350 and Saddler 350 SC, in addition to the fungicides Apron RFC and Carbomax 500 SC.
