National Petroleum Agency works to guarantee fuel supply in Rio Grande do Sul
The continuation of rains resulted in difficulties in supplying the region, especially in access to biodiesel and anhydrous ethanol
The National Association for Fertilizer Diffusion (Anda) reveals that fertilizer deliveries to the Brazilian market, in February 2024, were 2,87 million tons, an increase of 7,3% compared to 2,67 million tons registered in the same month last year. In the first two months, there were 6,58 million tons, an increase of 7,9% compared to the 6,10 million tons recorded in the same period of 2023.
Anda reaffirms the companies' commitment to guarantee agricultural supply, despite the persistence of international geopolitical crises and the challenges of climate change and its impacts on supply logistics.
The State of Mato Grosso, leader in deliveries to the market, concentrated the largest volume in the analyzed period (26,2%), reaching 1,72 million tons. They are followed by: Paraná (832 thousand), Goiás (738 thousand), Minas Gerais (697 thousand) and São Paulo (636 thousand).
National production of intermediate fertilizers ended February 2024 with 481 thousand tons, representing a reduction of 13,1% compared to the same month in 2023. In the first two months, there were 993 thousand tons. This is a reduction of 11,3% compared to the same period last year, when 1,12 million tons were produced.
Imports of intermediate fertilizers totaled 2,52 million tons in February, representing a reduction of 4,3% compared to the same month last year. The first two months recorded a total of 5,45 million tons, meaning an increase of 5% compared to the same period in 2023, when 5,19 million tons were imported.
Through the port of Paranaguá, the main gateway for fertilizers, 1,71 million tons arrived, an increase of 21% compared to 2023, when 1,42 million tons were unloaded. The terminal represented 31,5% of total imports.
