Researchers manage to produce baru seedlings through grafting
Technique guarantees the multiplication of plant species while maintaining their characteristics, favoring greater productive potential
Fertilizer deliveries to the Brazilian market, from January to April 2023, of 10,87 million tons, fell by 4,4% compared to the 11,36 million tons recorded in the same period last year. The information is from the National Association for Fertilizer Diffusion (Anda).
Deliveries for April 2023 totaled 2,32 million tons, meaning a reduction of 14,5% compared to the same month in 2022, when the volume was 2.713 thousand tons.
The State of Mato Grosso, leader in deliveries to the market, concentrates the largest volume in the four months, with 2,67 million tons, or 24,6% of the total. They are followed by: Paraná (1,38 million), Goiás (1,33 million), Minas Gerais (1,02 million), São Paulo (996 thousand) and Rio Grande do Sul (708 thousand).
National production of intermediate fertilizers ended April 2023 at 540 thousand tons. The volume represents a decline of 22,9% compared to the same month in 2022.
In the first four months of 2023, there were 2,24 million tons. This is a decrease of 12,7% compared to the same period last year, when 2,56 million tons were produced.
According to Anda, imports of intermediate fertilizers continue to arrive in Brazil, reaching 3,15 million tons in April, with growth of 22,6%. From January to April, the total was 10,89 million tons, meaning a reduction of 3,7% compared to the same period in 2022, when 11,31 million tons were imported.
At the port of Paranaguá, the main gateway for fertilizers, 2,84 million tons entered, a reduction of 20,4% compared to 2022, when 3,57 million tons were disembarked. The terminal represented 26,1% of the total imported by all ports.
