The agronomist Fernando Adorno assumed the position of "Brazil Corn Production Director" at Syngenta. Adorno has a successful track record in the agricultural industry, with stints at companies such as Bayer Crop Science and DuPont Pioneer (now Corteva).
Fernando Adorno was an agronomist at DuPont Pioneer from 2007. He worked until November 2008. He then joined Syngenta, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including "Production Manager" (2014-2018), "Brazil Corn Production Manager" ( 2018-2020) and "Strategy and Operations Manager" (2020).
Between August 2020 and April 2023, Adorno was at the helm of Bayer Crop Science as "Head of Row-Crop Production Research Brazil", where he played an important role in the development and implementation of new technologies and agricultural practices in the country.
The agronomist has a solid academic background, including a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Viçosa (2002-2006), a PgD in Crop Protection from the Phytus Institute/FADISMA and a Master of Science in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from the University of Warwick.
