Favorable weather has contributed to the advancement of soybean planting in Rio Grande do Sul, which reaches 29% of the intention of 6,32 million hectares, being in germination and vegetative development. According to the Economic Information produced and released this Thursday (11/11) by the Planning Management (GPL) of Emater/RS-Ascar, linked to the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development (Seapdr), despite the rainfall in region of Bagé, soybean sowing advanced during the period. In the Emater/RS-Ascar de Santa Rosa region, the occurrence of rain between 02 and 05/11 contributed to the increase in the sown area, which now reaches 31%.

In some regions where there was less rainfall or in sandy soils, sowing was interrupted. In areas with crop-livestock integration, activities were also suspended due to animal trampling. Those with early implantation have a good plant stand and adequate development. Producers await the occurrence of rain for good germination in the recently established areas.

Corn planting reaches 82% of the intention of 835 thousand hectares in Rio Grande do Sul. Of the total sown, 5% is already in grain filling, 18% in flowering and 77% in germination and vegetative development.

The wheat harvest now reaches 70%, favored in the period characterized by the presence of scattered rains, in general, with reduced volumes, high temperatures and a predominance of intense sunshine on most days in the State. Another 28% of crops are still maturing and 2% are in grain filling.

Vegetable crops

Climatic conditions favored the development of vegetable crops in the Emater/RS-Ascar de Bagé region, with the return of rainfall, good light and mild temperatures. In the Emater/RS-Ascar de Ijuí region, vine cultivation continues to develop well; Producers continue phytosanitary management. Culture with low incidence of diseases. Melon and watermelon crops with reduced incidence of downy mildew. Watermelon at the fruit development stage. In Panambi, members of a cooperative are harvesting Valencia oranges.

In Santa Rosa, 509 hectares are cultivated between commercial and domestic orchards. For fruit trees in general, the dry climate has been favorable to prevent the proliferation of fungi and diseases, but the appearance of pests has been constant, requiring monitoring and control with biological and chemical products. Watermelon and melon crops feature weeding and nitrogen fertilization in coverage. Early flowering areas; The dry and sunny climate continues to contribute to the health of watermelon and melon plants in the region. Apple in fruiting, harvesting will begin in the next few days.
