According to the Economic Information released by Emater/RS-Ascar this Thursday (27/10), soybean sowing is in its initial phase, and it is estimated that 3% of crops have already been planted. Producers' attention is on finalizing the adjustment of seeders, continuing seed treatment and storing inputs on properties. Straw management and pre-planting desiccation practices were also carried out; and the presence of plants that were difficult to control, such as horseweed, was common. In the State, the average value of a bag decreased by 0,83%, from R$173,48 to R$172,04.
Corn planting proceeded more slowly, as part of the area destined for cultivation will be planted after harvesting operations and/or the planting of other crops, such as wheat and soybeans. In part of the State, the occurrence of heavy rains momentarily made sowing inappropriate due to the high moisture content in the soil.
The corn crops already planted reached 73% of the projection and are 99% in vegetative development and 1% has started the flowering phase. The rains benefited the development and use of nutrients supplemented in top dressing.
According to the weekly price survey carried out by Emater/RS-Ascar in the State, the average value of a 60 kg bag increased by 0,71%, going from R$ 84,00 to R$ 84,60. The product available in Cruz Alta remained at R$90,00.
Corn for silage is also being implemented. The sowing progress was very small during the period due to the staggering of planting and the high moisture content in the soil as a result of the rain.
