Colha + Sustainability Program

In a world where we have more and more people, food for everyone has been a recurring topic. And for FMC it is no different. “We treat this issue with great responsibility and therefore, we thought that a campaign the size of Colha+Sustentabilidade would be essential. Our attention is focused on the field and more specifically on the producer, offering support in the form of technology and solutions that support them throughout their journeys, such as low-sufficiency products, with MRLs - Maximum Waste Limits - established in European and US countries. , lower carbon emissions per ton of food produced, in addition to acceptance in the main certification programs in Brazil and the world for the fruit and vegetable markets”, explains Luis Grandeza.

Technologies

“Investing in research and development, FMC has been working on solutions that help producers from planting to harvest. As is the case with the Verimark and Benevia insecticide programs, which have a vaccine effect, always used at the beginning of the vegetable cycle. The line of fungicides focused on the control of Late Blight and Alternaria, includes the products Galben M, Zignal, Rovral and Authority in addition to Regalia Maxx, a biofungicide, which increases the natural resistance and health of the plant, increases vigor and quality mainly for export fruits. The pre-emergent herbicide Reator “comes as an excellent solution, at a time of shortage of herbicides for potatoes and cassava, where the producer can carry out the plant and apply modality and his crop emerges free from competition” mentions Luis Grandeza, Crops Manager at FMC.

In addition to them, FMC also invested in innovations that act in nutrition such as Seed+ and Crop+, both work as crop biopotentiators and act on plant metabolism, mitigating various biotic and abiotic stresses, and making the plant better able to express the its maximum genetic potential, as well as biological ones such as Quartzo, which comes from the Nematode Command program, the bionematicide is the market leader in the control of Wound Nematodes (Pratylenchus zeae and P. brachyurus) and Root-knot Nematodes (Meloidogyne incognita and M. javanica).
