FMC holds Soy Tour in western Bahia

Thinking about bringing information to soybean farmers in western Bahia, FMC Agricultural Solutions carried out the Soja Tour to promote the exchange of information and discuss the management of soybean cultivation. The event was attended by approximately 200 people and was held at the Sete Povos, Bonanza and Santa Rosa farms, in Luís Eduardo Magalhães-BA.

“Western Bahia is one of the main soybean producing regions in Brazil. Through the Soy Tour, FMC provided the opportunity for producers, researchers and industry representatives to exchange knowledge, share research and development results, as well as solutions and management systems”, comments FMC Marketing Manager, Ivan Jarussi.

The event included the participation of speakers who discussed topics relevant to the sector, such as nematode management, addressed by agronomist Ricardo Atarassi and Dr. Carina Lopes; weed control, highlighted by Dr. Jamil Constantin; management of Lepdopteros and Whitefly, highlighted by agronomists Ivan Jarussi and Carla Pegoraro; and control of Suckers, analyzed by consultant Paulo Saran.

“During field visits, participants had access to management techniques used by other producers and the results obtained using solutions from the FMC portfolio. The objective of the action is to make the producer aware of management practices that are producing results in other locations, identifying which ones can be applied to their crops”, observes.

Through the Tour, FMC hosts a moment of interaction within the soybean production chain. The company invests in technology, research and innovation, in addition to continuously working to assist producers' demands, thus contributing to the success of farmers and Brazilian agribusiness.
