Coopertradição begins receiving the 2024/25 bean harvest
The forecast is for a 10 to 15% growth in productivity, compared to the previous cycle
Embrapa Soja will participate in Safratec, an event promoted by the Cocamar cooperative, between January 16 and 18, in Floresta (PR), demonstrating the cultivars BRS 1064IPRO and BRS 1061IPRO. Also on display will be the BRS 2361 I2X, a pre-launch, developed in partnership with Fundação Meridional.
BRS 1064IPRO, developed by Embrapa Soja and Fundação Meridional, stands out for its excellent production performance, high stability and good adaptation. It is a transgenic soybean with tolerance to the herbicide glyphosate and also promotes the control of some species of caterpillars. “This cultivar showed a production gain above the average of widely cultivated cultivars in the same region of indication”, highlights the technology transfer agent, Rogério Borges, from Embrapa Soja. Indicated for Paraná (West and North), Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo and southern Goiás, especially in warmer locations, below 600 m, it has Maturity Group 6.4. BRS 1064IPRO has a wide sowing window, showing good performance also at the opening of planting, which is an attraction for producers interested in growing off-season corn. This cultivar also shows resistance to lodging and to the main soybean diseases, mainly resistance to phytophthora root rot. Another highlight that makes BRS 1064IPRO quite promising is its resistance to root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne. javanica) and cyst (race 3), very common problems in the regions for which it is being indicated.
BRS 1061IPRO is a transgenic soybean with tolerance to the herbicide glyphosate and control of some species of caterpillars. It allows early sowing, fitting into the succession/rotation system of the 2nd harvest and has moderate resistance to root-knot nematodes. Meloidogyne javanica. This cultivar has high performance with stability in regions above 500 m of Macroregion 2. This cultivar is recommended for the following regions: SC (West and Northeast/ REC 102), PR (Southwest/ REC 102); SC (Central-North/ REC 103), PR (Central-South and Northeast/ REC 103) and SP (South/ REC 103); PR (West/North/ REC201), SP (Middle Paranapanema/ REC201); PR (Northwest/ REC202), SP (Southwest), MS (South/ REC202); SP (Central-South/West/ REC203); MS (Central-South/Southwest/ REC204).
BRS 2361 I2X is a transgenic soybean with Intacta2 Xtend (I2X) technology, which adds tolerance to the herbicides glyphosate and dicamba and resistance to the main soybean caterpillars. It has greater production potential at altitudes above 600 m in the REC 201 macro-region of the states of Paraná and São Paulo. It also allows early sowing, enabling the sowing of second-crop corn in the best planting “window” in the region where the cultivar is indicated.
