With the delay in rain in most producing regions, soybean sowing in the 2019/20 soybean harvest is also delayed. One of the challenges for soybeans is diseases such as Asian soybean rust. Researcher Cláudia Godoy explains that, during the harvest, records of the disease's occurrence in Brazil can be consulted on the Antirust Consortium  and in applications.

In addition to the Consortium website, Paraná has an Emater project that monitors Asian rust spores with collectors. Information about the Emater project in the State of Paraná can be consulted here.

To monitor the occurrence of Asian rust in Paraguay, there is a map with trap plots which can be consulted on the Mesa de La Roya website, which has already issued an alert to intensify monitoring due to the presence of volunteer soybean plants with the presence of rust.

Antirust Consortium

During the harvest, occurrences of Asian rust in the harvest are recorded on the Antirust Consortium by laboratory technicians from universities, public and private research institutions, research foundations, rural extension, technical assistance and cooperatives. The occurrence map on the Consortium website is available on cell phone applications and can be downloaded directly from the App Store and Google Play.

Information about occurrences of Asian rust in the regions can be sent for registration on the website by email: cnpso.sac@embrapa.br, but the first occurrences of the harvest are always confirmed by phytopathologists or researchers from the Antirust Consortium.
