Next week, the 3rd Embrapa Grape and Wine Field Day will take place, held on the afternoons of February 10, 11 and 12, 2026, at the Unit's headquarters in Bento Gonçalves (RS). The program will be the same on all three days and registration is free on the Embrapa website (www.embrapa.br/uva-e-vinho/dia-de-campo-2026).

Aimed at producers, technicians, students and those interested in the wine sector, the event will highlight the launch of two new red grape varieties for processing: BRS Lis and BRS Antonella.

The program also includes a technical station dedicated to presenting the results of the Seleclone Program, which works with the clonal selection of wine grapes for fine wines, focusing on health, higher productivity, adaptation to the conditions of the Serra Gaúcha region, and excellence in wine quality.

Held directly in the vineyards of Embrapa Uva e Vinho, the Field Day will feature three technical stations. The first will be for the presentation of the BRS Lis and BRS Antonella cultivars. In the second, participants will have the opportunity to taste juices made with the new cultivars, and in the third, they will learn about the results of the project for evaluating clones of wine grape cultivars, called Seleclone.

With a practical and applied focus, the event provides direct contact with researchers and technicians, encouraging the exchange of experiences and updates on technologies that impact vineyard management and product quality. The expectation is to receive more than 300 participants over the three days. The Field Day is supported by Sicredi Serrana RS/ES.
